Bathroom Renovation
This project began as a seemingly standard bathroom remodel. Once we opened the walls, however, we discovered the need to completely rewire the electrical system, as well as replace the plumbing and drainage lines. In addition, black mold was found inside the walls, requiring a three-day specialized treatment.
We started by addressing the plumbing and piping, then removed all the drywall since it was contaminated. After fumigating and treating the remaining mold, we re-insulated both the walls and ceiling. Once the plumbing work was completed, the walls were sealed again.
The shower area was transformed into a closet, the bathtub was removed, and the shower was expanded. This part of the project required additional time because the home had structural unevenness caused by the hurricane, and we had to carefully level each tile on the shower walls. Finally, we installed an electric toilet, a vanity with a smart mirror, and completed the project with the installation of new flooring.
